To all of you who wondered, “Where’s Rick?” while digesting my dog food can cover dilemma, well, Rick was standing right there in the kitchen when the oven door devoured the wretched piece of plastic. We both shrieked like little girls. No, that isn’t true. I would stand by that statement, as I think it’s [...]

And you thought this wasn’t that kind of blog. Well, it isn’t. This isn’t about s-e-x! I am defending my Sleeping Self. Many mornings, Rick accuses me of stealing all the blankets, and it’s true, all the covers will be over on my side of the bed, either on me or spilling over onto the [...]

Nope, no fear of 13 in this house. Not only is today Friday the 13th, it is our 37th anniversary. So I’m telling the story of how we met and got married. Don’t worry, it won’t take long. I was born in Phoenix and was living there in 1971 when I went to California to [...]

I was saying to BFF Susan the other night, “I’ve been working like . . .” and she said a mouthful. “Like a farm animal.” Amen, sister! I have been planting up a storm. OK, maybe that doesn’t look like a lot of planting to you, but I had to do a lot of planting [...]
