More shopping ops!

by Kathi D on January 21, 2010

Here’s another great way to help the Haiti relief effort by shopping for wonderful handmade goods. The Fat Quarter Shop is hosting an auction of quilts and other delights donated by terrific fabric artists. It’s ongoing at their blog: Click here to read all about it. You can bid from now until the auction closes at noon on January 29.

In other news, it’s still raining, even hailing at times. Brooklyn and Barkley, our Michigan-born dogs, don’t mind being out in the cold rain at all, nor do they shrink from bringing a lot of it back inside with them. Bonnie, our California native, declines to venture outside except for necessary trips. And I am following her lead.

thanks for the link – great idea.
we’re about to become dog owners again soon – gulp. I’m trying not to panic about the mess, the training, the noise……
I’ll be fine once she is actually here in a few weeks.

What in the world is happening out there? This weather is just ridiculous. We have had fog here for over a week. And not the fog that burns off by mid morning. No, no! That would be too easy. We have had constant, thick, potato soup fog for an entire week. I’m not even sure that the sun still exists. Maybe we should all just pack up and head out on a group vacation where it is warm and SUNNY!

FAT QUARTERS! I had no idea. I’ve been trying to decorate a wall with fabric, but I suck at it. But fat quarters? Win. Thank you Aunt Kathi. Curse my uncrafty childhood.

Oh, I’ve been in California before when it rains and rains and rains. It feels like the world is ending.
