Just take it out for a test drive. No obligation. Cheap at twice the price.
An unexpected reaction
by Kathi D on November 4, 2008
As soon as Barack Obama was declared the next President of the United States, I burst into tears which quickly became large, gasping sobs of relief and joy. I feel as if the darkness has lifted and it is about to be a brand new day in America.
I’m not even an American and I cried too! Americans have voted for hope, equality, and change – obviously that old saw is true – when the going gets tough, the tough get going.
Obama’s acceptance speech was humble, inspiring, and full of hope without ignoring the tough challenges to come. He has all the attributes of a formidable leader.
I think his election alone has rasied the level of respect that other nations give to the U.S. As a Canadian/next-door neighbour, I know that disrespect is not actually what your country deserves. YAY!!!!
I got teary as I thought about how far we’ve come in this country to vote in a black president. It is trully a historic time and we are in for some GREAT things I’m sure of it:)
I’m glad I’m not the only one. I have been happy about a few elections before, but I have never had this kind of emotional reaction. I think that even though I hoped for this result, and in recent days it seemed like it might happen, that I had never really believed it could happen until I heard that announcement, and suddenly it was real and it hit me like a tidal wave.
I am contacting you because I am working with the authors of a book about blogs. I have seen a photograph of yours that I find beautiful and would like to request permission to include it in this book. If you think this is something you might be interested in please send me an email at hannah@wefeelfine.org and I will send along more details about the project. Hope to talk to you soon!

Don’t fret, I was weepy, and so was Leslie and she never gets like that!
Thank God it wasn’t just me!
I did too, and scared the heck out of Henry. Hallelujah.

Me too, me too. And I haven’t stopped.

I went through exactly the same emotions. Still doesn’t seem real yet. Looking forward to January!!
