Calling Dr. Freud
by Kathi D on April 20, 2008
Last night I dreamed that my chicken Gertie (the only one with a for-sure name so far) learned to speak, but all she could say was “Thank you” and “I’m sorry.”
Most mothers would love to have that dream. I don’t really care what you actually name them, I’m still calling one of them Mother Theresa. Since I can’t really tell them apart, I’ll probably be refering to more than one as Mother Theresa. Oh and in the middle of the night (Why are we thinking about these chickens in the middle of the night?)I had the thought that Dolly Parton would make a good name. I guess I’ll be refering to at least one as Dolly now! Dolly, Mother Theresa and Priscilla, oh what a dream team.
Well, don’t think I won’t be calling them those fine names. It’s just that I can only recognize one for sure right now so that’s the only one with a name. And it might have to change because I still suspect Gertie might be a man-chicken.
Seriously, is it too much to ask for just one “Mama” from them?

You have taught her well! It would be nice if she would say “Mama” though?
well at least Gertie is polite! Could have been much much worse
sounds like an episode of feathered who’s line is it anyway
Cute!
Also just made a HUGE announcement on the blog of the “HOLY MOLY” sort, so if you have a moment, stop on by.

Oh you do make me laugh. Unfortunately my last remaining chicken is just about to say “goodbye” .. humph.
My 13 year old’s nickname is Gertie!! However, she never says “Thank You” or “I’m Sorry”!!
I am telling you this must be the season for weird dreams! I have been having loads of em.
I can;t even find chicken talikng on the dream interpretation website. That’s a little crazy!
Hehehe its weird dream week. Thats just great! My dogs don’t talk in the dreams thank goodness. That would be way too scary for my equilibrium.
